Videnregion
Access to knowledge and the exploitation of scientific results are basic requirements for competitiveness and growth in the region of Southern Denmark and Schleswig-Holstein. In recent years, a number of scientific collaborations and research projects have been initiated between academic institutions in this region. However, there is potential to expand and improve the collaboration activities in order to create a competitive and dynamic knowledge-based society.
With the establishment of the Videnregion / Wissensregion project we aim to make use of these existing competencies, expand and strengthen cross-border collaborations in research and academic education, facilitate new collaborations, and help promote the dissemination of research results within the region and beyond to create maximal synergy.
Who we are
Videnregion/Wissensregion is a common initiative between academic institutions in the region of Syddanmark and Schleswig K.E.R.N. with the aim to strengthen the regional knowledge-based economy within education, research and innovation.

The Videnregion/Wissensregion Project Office is located at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense, Denmark.
The collaboration is based on a three-year project funded by INTERREG 4A Syddanmark-Schleswig-K.E.R.N in the framework of the European Regional Development Fund.
